Can you believe my baby is a year and a half old!!???!! I can't. I have had an unbelievably fun time with him so far, I can't wait to see what the future holds. I've put together a few of the fun things AJ is doing now since this blog is my baby book.
-Stats
12 teeth (4 of the pointy ones on their way now)
25 1/2 lbs (<50%)
33 1/4" tall (75%) - I think they measured him wrong, it's really more like 31 1/2"
Overall, totally healthy and happy boy!!
-The Doc asked how many words AJ knows and of course I had no idea so I felt compelled to go home and start writing down every word. So far I'm at 120, but still counting! He's putting a couple words together, too. I ask where his milk is and he says "it's here".
- AJ has mastered the concept of "mine" and uses it constantly. Most of the time it seems the things he points to aren't his, but mommy's or daddy's. The other day he held up a miniature Elmo doll and said "mine!" and when we confirmed that it was indeed his, he started squealing & dancing in delight. He also loves "No!" and "Uh-huh".
-AJ has discovered letters thanks to Sesame Street and his bathtub letters. He can recognize and point out "A", "E", "O", "P", "T" and "V". It is so fun watching him learn more every day!
- AJ loves to accesorize. He goes nuts over any type of hat you give him. Papa had a red baseball hat on, so AJ had to wear his red baseball hat. AJ received his first pair of Australian Ugg boots from his "Uncle" Jason. (Thanks, Jason!) When we put them on he gets soooo excited and stomps all around the house in his boots. They give him a good 20 minutes of entertainment.
- AJ is way into make-believe. He never gets tired of stirring up "soup" and feeding it to anyone who is in the room. He pretends his blocks are a milk bottle and does the same thing. As you can imagine, the new Elmo Kitchen we got him is a total hit! Hopefully he will be a good cook like his Daddy!
-Speaking of blocks, he has made leaps & bounds of improvement with his block-building skills. I was amazed a few weeks ago to see him stack 4 blocks together all on his own. Now he can build a tower!! He will even hunt out particular colors and sizes to make a striped tower.
- Last but not least, AJ loves hitting any type of ball with any type of stick. We had to run out and buy a tee ball set to test out AJ's baseball skills. He has a very proud Daddy. :)
Sorry to go on so long bragging about my kiddo, but I'm a proud Mamma and I want to remember all these moments!!
