Every year our church puts on a big re-enactment of biblical times when Jesus was born. I remember doing this as a kid at our church so I was very excited to do this with AJ.
He had so much fun going to all the booths and trying things out.

This was his absolute favorite! I think you call it planing wood? He pushed the metal tool along the wood and shavings came off. I wish I could have captured his smile the first time he did it, priceless.
Of course they had lots of animals to pet. AJ was not shy about touching the sheep…
