We met up with some of AJ’s school friends for a playdate at Monkey Joe’s. It started out great, AJ LOVED all the jumpy houses and I swear I have never seen him run so fast! Then it started going downhill when Jack got hungry. Jack wouldn’t take a bottle and AJ wouldn’t sit still long enough for me to feed him. Running after a 2 yr old holding a baby and pushing a stroller around a huge gymnasium is NOT my idea of fun. Then AJ started with the waterworks. I was not 100% dedicated to his having fun so the tantrum began. He ran to the snack bar demanding money from me so he could buy toys. I bought him pizza for lunch but he wanted everyone else’s food. I managed to nurse Jack at the picnic table while AJ was eating pizza. Then another tantrum when I wouldn’t go into a “big kid” jumpy maze with him. (parents weren’t allowed). I tracked down an employee to go with him but after she arrived the waterworks began because it wasn’t me. At that point I threw in the towel and we were going home. AJ cried the ENTIRE ride home that he wanted to go back to the jumpy house. Then he sobbed and cried in his room before taking his nap. Whew, what a day. I will NEVER try that again!! And to top it off I think he picked up some germs while we were there, he’s got a snotty runny nose today and Mr. Grump has arrived!
Just thought you might enjoy a little insight into the mommy life of two kids, ha ha!
While we were still having fun, AJ scaled this HUGE climbing wall all by himself! I was biting my nails the whole time (the employee was helping Cooper on the other side)
The kids found the snakes that were sitting out for sale tempting little ones. Julia, AJ & Bree had fun flipping those things around.
AJ loved bouncing off this mushroom... I can't even count how many times he did this!
