The boys and I have had a great kickoff to Summer! We started off the week by going to StrollerFit in the AIR CONDITIONING at the church gym. It’s soooo much nicer and both of the boys do better in the stroller when they aren’t sweating!
Anthony discovered something so helpful about Jack! He LOVES to be as COLD and naked as possible!!! This is difficult in Houston in Summer but we’re doing our best. By dressing him in a onesie, turning the fan on and keeping the house cooler he is starting to sleep longer!! (and we okayed this with the doc) Yippee! Here he is happy as a clam in nothing at all…
Wednesday AJ had his first experience at a REAL movie theater!! Carrie & I took the kids to see Madagascar. It was a surprising success. Just keep the popcorn coming and they are good for at least an hour! Afternoons are a challenge with the heat. AJ is into coloring with pens, which is great because it keeps him occupied for a good chunk of the afternoon. I lost track of him while I was taking care of Jack and look what I found! At least he chose his legs and not my furniture!
Thursday we had a playdate with our new StrollerFit friends. There were at least 20 people and they had a huge double water slide that AJ went up & down for an hour straight. When we were done AJ ate an entire slice of pizza then crashed for a great nap. After naps, our BGP playdate friends came over to our house to play. What a fun day for AJ!!!
Friday was a surprisingly cool morning. Considering I’ve been so depressed about the extreme suffocating heat and it’s only JUNE, Carrie & I decided to take advantage of the day and try out a new park in Hedwig Village. It was a huge park that kept going and going with playscapes for all ages and it was completely shaded with trees, how nice!
Saturday was another fun day! We had our neighbor friends the Coke’s over for dinner & hanging out. AJ & their daughter Caroline had a blast playing together and Jack & Conrad had fun crying together!
After lots of playtime & dinner we decided to put on a movie for the kids so we could have adult time! It worked like a charm.
Conrad is 2 1/2 months older than Jack. Future buds! Notice my kid is half naked again, he loves being cold!!
Not sure why I felt the need to divulge every moment of my week, but it’s fun to remember all the neat activities I shared with my kiddos & friends!
